German Couple Finds Out Stork Isn’t Real – Fox News
A childless German couple finally found out why they weren’t able to conceive - they had never had sex. After eight years of marriage, the 36-year-old man and his 30-year-old wife went to the campus’ fertility clinic to figure out what was wrong. Doctors gave them a battery of tests and were baffled - both husband and wife were healthily fertile. Then came the important question. “When we asked them how often they had had sex,” said a clinic spokesman, “they looked blank, and said: 'What do you mean?” He went on to explain that each of the pair had been brought up extremely religiously and had never heard of the birds and the bees. “We are not talking retarded people here,” the clinic spokesman said. The two “were simply unaware, after eight years of marriage, of the physical requirements necessary to procreate.”

Rev Shark:
Yesterday's rally was fine for the bulls, who already believe in this market, but for the skeptics who make decisions based on hard evidence, the action was lacking. The primary problem was that volume was woefully lacking. Nasdaq volume was at the lowest level of the year.
Low-volume bounces may help produce a bottom but lasting trend changes are a function of a series of higher highs and higher lows on increasing volume. The proof that something meaningful is occurring is action that reflects increased confidence and conviction by the big institutions that are the main driving force in the market. When the big boys start to put their money to work we will see clear evidence as volume swells and momentum grows.
Many Wall Street pros and market pundits will tell you that in order to profit from a rally, you have to be fully invested before it starts. I disagree. Meaningful trend reversals last for weeks and offer many chances to put your capital to work. When stocks start forming bases and moving up on volume it will be time to be bullish once again.
Hard evidence and solid proof usually don't emerge until a bit after the fact but that doesn't mean that it comes too late to act on. Faith and belief are easier to maintain than a style that requires hard evidence, but they also are fraught with danger.
We have a good start this morning. China announced that it is delaying interest rate cuts, economic growth in Japan turned out higher than expected and we had some solid reports from big-cap technology stocks in the U.S. The dollar is trading down sharply, gold is up and oil down.
What the bulls need to do now is show us the money. They need to produce some volume. We need to see confidence and conviction reflected in buying. We have been hearing lots of talk about why we should be bullish but we need some action to back that up.
The early strength is setting up a very good test of this market. We will quickly see how anxious the folks on the sidelines are to put their money to work. Yesterday the market gapped up nicely but then did nothing the rest of the day as volume waned and interest faded. What the bulls really need is a move that causes the folks who are hesitant to start to worry about whether they are missing the rally.
If the strength this morning is real I suspect we will see some interesting setups in individual stocks. Volume is the key right now and I'll be watching my scans carefully for stocks with volume surges.
