PR: AS VIRŠI-A opens 70th service station in its network
Today, 16 December, fuel and alternative energy trader AS VIRŠI-A (hereinafter – Virši) opens its 70th service station in Riga, which will be the Company’s fourth franchise operation.

Service station Teika located at 297 Brīvības Street in Riga, starts operating today, 16 December. The Company sees this as a step closer to the goal of Virši offering customers 80 service stations throughout Latvia by the end of 2024. Teika station provides automatic refuelling options and pourable windshield fluid for private individuals and business customers.

“We continue to expand the Company’s presence in the capital city and will do so in the future, increasing our market share and reaching more and more customers. We are delighted that this is already the fourth franchise station of Virši. This confirms that the franchise cooperation model is a successful solution for both parties – the franchisor and the franchisee – due to the recognition of the Virši brand and a proven business model, concept and quality products. The franchise concept requirements are the same as for any Virši station. The customer may not even notice that they have arrived at a Virši franchise station, because the visual design, technical support and customer service standards are equally high,” emphasises Jānis Vība, Virši Chairman of the Management Board.

During the first half of this year, Virši increased its market share in the most important business segments while also improving the Company’s profitability and financial indicators. In total, the Company has opened five new stations this year – four of them in Riga and one in Daugavpils. Virši continues to work on various sustainability projects and strengthening its position in the energy sector.
