The Tata Nano measures 3.1 meters in length, 1.5 meters wide and 1.6 meters high, has plenty of ground clearance and is a little bigger than a Smart car.

Hiinas tootmise eelised on jäänud eelmisesse sajandisse. Kõik need kes täna sinna jooksevad on hilinenud mängurid. Sama kehtib India kohta. Need, kes Bangalores eelimise sajandi lõpul infotehnoloogia jaoks töötajaid otsisid muudavad oma esindusi hetkel hoopis müügikanaliteks.Indiast on saamas oma suureneva keskklassiga suur turg.

kusjuures indias on tõesit palju tänavareklaami, mis pakub nt c++ kursuseid. mujal polegi väga sellist asja näinud :D aga jah, sama innukalt pakutakse ka meeste aluspükse, junkfoodi (indialased jumaldavad rasvast ja ebatervislikku toitu, imho) ning näovalgendajat. prügikoristus oleks ka hea business..

india liiklus on nii mõrvarlik, imestan, kuidas need nanoautod seal ellu jäävad..
suffiks,

Ford Motor, Tata said to be nearing deal on Land Rover, Jaguar - DJ (6.75 +0.06)

DJ reports the co and TTM are nearing an agreement for Tata to buy Jaguar and Land Rover, according to a person who has been briefed on the negotiations. The deal is likely to be announced in February, perhaps as early as next week, but could be as late as the Geneva Motor Show in early March, the person said. Ford CFO Don Leclair said last week the co doesn't plan to keep a stake in the storied British auto makers. "Our plan right now is to sell the business in its entirety," Leclair said in a telephone interview with British newspaper the Financial Times. Ford spokesman Bill Collins confirmed the quote as accurate. The person briefed on the talks, who requested anonymity because the negotiations are private, said Tata and Ford are negotiating an agreement for Ford to keep supplying engines and other technology to Jaguar and Land Rover.

With all the exchange-traded choices for investors eager to tap into the China story, I have been waiting for some action on the India ETF front.
The WisdomTree family of exchange-traded funds will be launching a new India ETF (EPI) later this month. Here is what looks like to be the advantages over current India ETFs.
The companies in the EPI basket will be weighted by earnings rather than market value. Hopefully, that will lead to a less top heavy portfolio. In addition, the index will contain about 150 companies.
It will be the first India country ETF that gives U.S. investors access to local shares in the Indian market with no derivatives.
As an ETF, EPI will likely be a tax efficient structure while ETN tax status is uncertain after ruling on Currency ETNs and implications for equities and commodities ETNs.
I am very curious about what companies get into the ETF basket as well as the pattern of weightings. The real action and value in India is at the smaller company side of the market, not the mega caps which remain overvalued.
Go to Chartwell ETF for more on the opportunities and challenges of investing in India.
Tuhnisin netis, aga mida silma ei hakanud oleks India SENSEX indeksi ajalooline graafik. Kust leida?! Ala graafik viimase viie aasta kohta.

TTM Tata Motors gets $3 bln loan from Citigroup, JPMorgan: Source - Reuters (14.98 )
Reuters reports Tata Motors (TTM) has signed a deal to receive a $3 bln bridge loan from Citigroup (C) and JPMorgan (JPM) to help finance a potential purchase of brands Jaguar and Land Rover, a source familiar with the deal said on Tuesday. The source, who was not authorized to speak to the media on the matter, declined to provide further details including the duration of the loan, noting details had yet to be worked out. "It is signed, but it's still at an early process," the source said. Tata is expected to agree on a deal by the end of the month to purchase the two well-known U.K. brands from U.S. auto maker Ford Motor (F), according to media reports in India. The Indian firm could raise up to $4 bln on domestic and overseas debt markets, based on its previous announcements and media reports.
