Needham andis täna hommikul upgrade’i Apple’ile(AAPL) soovitusega ‘osta’ ja hinnasihiga $90. Needham usub, et tähelepanuväärne osa Windowsi kasutajatest on suundumas üle Mac’i kasutamisele.

"Anxiety is sort of the opposite of ego. You're so sure you'll do everything wrong you're afraid to do anything at all. It results from over-motivation, leading to errors that lead to an underestimation of one's self. Work out your anxieties on paper and read. This calms the mind." --
Robert M. Pirsig, "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance"
After another poor day of market action, anxiety is running high. The question on the minds of many is whether it is too late to sell, or should they tough it out now that we are already down so much? For many, this anxiety leads to a feeling of being frozen. They are afraid to sell because it feels like it's too late, and afraid to buy because the market action is so poor.
This tendency to be frozen explains why so many people gave up huge gains when the bubble burst in 2000. They simply sat frozen in a haze of indecision and hope. The more their losses grew, the more reluctant they were to sell because they had already suffered so much pain.
Sometimes it is better to just take action of any sort and not worry too much about how smart it may be, because initeria and indecision can be much more harmful than a poor decision. At least when you do take action, the likelihood is that it will lead to more action - and in the end staying active is often a positive.
One of the great things about the market is that most any decision you make can be quickly reversed. If you make a buy or a sale, you can reverse it in a blink of an eye. Sure, you might suffer a quick loss and feel a bit stupid for doing it, but it is a form of very cheap insurance and most market participants do not avail themselves of it.
If you are sitting there feeling miserable, uncertain and anxious over the recent market action, do something -- anything. Get yourself out of the rut of inertia and start thinking in a productive way. You may make some poor decisions but once you get the adrenelin flowing, you will feel much more in control of your destiny and that will lead to better trading.
PPI numbers just hit and are mixed but still mild enough to generate a momentarily positive response Early morning strength has seldom held up lately and that tends to be self-fulfilling when it happens a half-dozen or so times in a row. Overseas markets were very weak. Oil traded back under $70 and gold was down $19 in early trading. It is going to be very tough slogging once again so stay tough.
If you are sitting there feeling miserable, uncertain and anxious over the recent market action, do something -- anything.
Samasuguseid võimalusi on tegelikult kogu aeg kusagil. Tuleb ainult numbreid tunda ja osata asja perspektiivi hinnata.
Seda tahtsingi oma eelmise kommiga (13/06/06 15:08) öelda.
